Wilson man charged with third DWI after car accident

A 32-year-old man who currently lives in Wilson, North Carolina, was recently charged with his third DWI after being involved in an accident on N.C. 96 in Wake County.

According to reports, the man was driving a Jeep Wrangler when he swerved across the road into oncoming traffic and hit another vehicle head-on. When officers arrived on the scene, they reported that the man smelled of alcohol and had red eyes. He was charged with a DWI and taken into custody.

The man had previously been convicted of a DWI in 1998 and one in 2005. He was being held in a Wake County jail on a $3,000 bail.
