Raleigh Teen Hits Pedestrian, Charged with DWI

Posted on April 11th, 2011 No Comments

An 18-year-old Raleigh man was recently charged with a DWI after he drove drunk and hit a pedestrian early Sunday morning.

Reports have stated that the 18-year-old was driving down Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard at 2 a.m. when he hit a 47-year-old man. The pedestrian died almost immediately after being hit. Officials have said that they believe he may have been lying in the street at the time of accident, though others have refuted this claim. Investigations into the accident are still under way.

The 18-year-old man is being charged with a DWI and underage drinking. He is being held with a bond set at $10,000.
