Raleigh driver faces DWI and felony death charges

Raleigh resident Jacob Press, 21, is facing DWI, felony death by motor vehicle, and felony serious injury by motor vehicle charges in relation to a two-vehicle collision that killed 67-year-old Garner resident Rex Todd.

According to preliminary investigations, Press crossed the median while he was driving along Jones Franklin Road on, causing him to crash into another vehicle that going in the opposite direction.

The driver of the other vehicle, Rex Todd, was found dead on the scene. Todd’s wife Mary, 66, who was a passenger at the time of the accident, was rushed to WakeMed Health & Hospitals where she is recovering from her injuries.
