NFL Colts player convicted of drunk driving

Posted on August 5th, 2011 No Comments

26 year-old Fili Moala, Colts defensive tackle, was convicted of drunk driving charges today but will not receive jail time. The NFL star was arrested last September after he was pulled over for speeding and then failed 2 of the 3 field sobriety tests administered. His blood alcohol level was registered at .10, just over the legal limit of .08.

He admitted to Indianapolis police that he had five to six drinks while downtown at a bar. Moala was sentenced to 180 days of probation and is slated to attend Colts training camp this week.
