Police officers with the Raleigh-Durham International Airport in North Carolina charged 41-year-old Bowie, Maryland police officer Arvester Horner, Jr., with driving while impaired and having an alcoholic beverage in his vehicle, the News Observer reported on October 13.

The airport police found Horner sleeping behind the wheel of his 2003 Nissan in the middle of the airport road at around 4 a.m. The car was parked but running, and there were opened cans of alcohol in the passenger area. The vehicle was found parked at the exit road on John Brantley Boulevard between Terminal 2 and the parking garage and the area where rental car companies are located at the southern end of the airport.
