Man involved in single-vehicle Raleigh accident charged with DWI

Posted on October 8th, 2013 No Comments

33-year-old Fuquay-Varina resident Fernandez Jermaine Olive was charged with driving while impaired after hitting a utility pole and knocking it and traffic lights down on New Bern Avenue on October 3.

According to a collision report, Olive was heading west on New Bern Avenue when he veered away from the roadway and hit a light pole.

Raleigh police closed the intersection to traffic for a couple of hours as maintenance crews tried to repair the damage caused by the incident.

Olive did not sustain serious injuries. No one else was involved.

Luckily, no one was seriously harmed in this incident. However, many innocent drivers are seriously injured by drunk drivers annually. If you or a loved one have been harmed by the negligence of others, you may be entitled to compensation.
