Posted on June 22nd, 2011 No Comments

A man was recently pulled over and charged with a DWI in Gastonia, North Carolina after police administered a breathalyzer test to him. If convicted of the DWI, it will be the man’s fifth DWI conviction in 16 years.

According to reports, the man was pulled over by police officers on Bessemer City Road because he was driving 20 miles per hour over the posted speed limit. Police said they noticed the man had bloodshot eyes and smelled alcohol on his breath, so they gave him a breathalyzer test. The man blew 0.13 percent, which is over North Carolina’s legal limit of 0.08 percent.

The man was taken into custody and held on a bail of $5,000. He is currently awaiting trial.
