House Democratic caucus director received DWI

Posted on July 14th, 2014 No Comments

Thirty-three-year-old House of Representatives Democratic caucus director Casey Wilkinson was charged with speeding, intoxicated driving, and a revocation of his license on June 12, WRAL.com reported.

Wilkinson was arrested on South Saunders Street. Earlier that same night, eight Democrats of his caucus voted to approve the House’s initial proposed budget of $21.1 billion for the financial year 2014-2015, supported by the Republican majority. Seven cast their vote for the final budget the next day.

Wilkinson was released by the police on the condition that he would uphold his court appearance. House Minority Leader Larry Hall confirmed on June 13 that Wilkinson is still with the caucus, and they are attempting to gather all of the information about the incident.
