Posted on May 19th, 2014 No Comments

Twenty-eight-year-old Joshua Jerome Joyner, possibly homeless, received charges of possession of drug paraphernalia, driving while impaired, and leaving the scene of an injury accident after being involved in a near-head-on collision on Capital Boulevard in Raleigh, & published on May 5.

Although Joyner listed the Durham Rescue Mission as his current address, the organization’s development operations director Tony Gooch said Joyner stopped returning to the shelter as of April 11. According to preliminary police investigations of the incident, Joyner ran into an oncoming car as he was driving the wrong way down southbound lanes of Capital Boulevard. Joyner fled the scene on foot but returned soon after to surrender to the authorities, police investigators said.

A driving while impaired charge in North Carolina is no small matter, as conviction carries with it hefty fines and possible imprisonment. Call our attorneys at The Law Office of Jim Black today by dialing 919-600-4609 should you need legal representation.
