Drunk driving couple with three children in their car arrested by Raleigh police

A man and a woman were taken into custody by the Raleigh, North Carolina police on the morning of Thursday, November 28 after authorities for numerous alcohol-related offenses. They were arrested after being pulled over on Interstate 440 with three children in their automobile.

Forty-nine-year-old Portsmouth, Virginia resident Moses Smith is currently facing charges of misdemeanor child abuse, aiding and abetting impaired driving, and having an open container after consuming alcohol. Forty-one-year-old Washington, D.C. local Portia Mason, on the other hand, was charged with driving while impaired as she was the one operating the vehicle.

According to police investigations, one of the children riding in the car was Smith’s godchild.
