A 16 year-old student at Millbrook High School had a blood alcohol level more than three times the legal amount when he crashed his Jeep earlier this month. A 17 year-old passenger in his vehicle was killed in the accident.

According to authorities, the teenager was driving 75 mph in a 30 mph zone when he lost control and hit a tree. The 17 year-old girl in the passenger seat died of blunt force trauma to her head. The driver’s blood alcohol content was 0.29 at the time of the crash, well above the legal limit of 0.08 for adults at or above the legal drinking age.

The 16 year-old driver has been charged with driving while intoxicated, provisional DWI, felony death by motor vehicle, possession of marijuana, speeding, reckless driving, and having an open container of alcohol.

"Jim, I just wanted to thank you again for everything you did for me. I am very happy about the outcome and would recommend you to anyone and everyone who has a DUI case. Two things that stuck out the most is your patience and honesty, you wanted the best for me and that was obvious."
