Bus driver in Wake County charged with DWI

Posted on December 1st, 2014 No Comments

Sixty-three-year-old Garner, North Carolina resident Donnie Lee Ballentine, a bus driver for the Wake County Public School System in Raleigh, was suspended from his post after being charged with driving while intoxicated on his day off, an Associated Press article reported on November 18.

According to local media stations, Ballentine was apprehended by the police on the Saturday afternoon of November 15.

Ballentine confessed that he struck an oncoming vehicle while he was turning into a driveway. Instead of checking the condition of the other driver, Ballentine parked his car and entered his home, local officials reported. A breathalyzer test placed his BAC at .16.

If you have failed a Breathalyzer test or have been charged with driving while impaired in Raleigh, it is important to enlist the help of an experienced DWI attorney who can work to protect your rights and reputation. Call the Law Office of Jim Black at 919-600-4609 today to learn more.
