Boyfriend suspected of causing fatal DWI crash

Posted on October 4th, 2011 No Comments

A 21 year-old woman, who was a student at Gaston College, died last week in a car crash along Highway 321. Last Sunday night, the car she was in tried to change lanes, but crashed into a Jeep Cherokee. Both vehicles flipped over and the woman was ejected from the car and died at the scene. North Carolina Highway Patrol says she was not wearing her seatbelt at the time.

The woman’s 27 year-old boyfriend, who was driving the car, has been charged with drunk driving and also faces a felony charge of death by motor vehicle. The two passengers in the Jeep are still in the hospital. One passenger, a 22 year-old pregnant woman, is in fair condition.

"Jim, I just wanted to thank you again for everything you did for me. I am very happy about the outcome and would recommend you to anyone and everyone who has a DUI case. Two things that stuck out the most is your patience and honesty, you wanted the best for me and that was obvious."
