Posted on March 25th, 2011 No Comments

A woman from New York recently pled guilty to a felony DWI charge after officers arrested her for driving drunk with two young children in the car.

The 28-year-old woman was babysitting two children under the age of six, when she placed them in the car and drove after consuming a large quantity of alcohol. She caused an accident that resulted in minor injuries to all parties involved.

The New York law, known as Leandra’s Law, stipulates that anyone driving while intoxicated¬†with children in the car should be charged with a felony drunk driving charge. The woman could lose her license and face several years in prison.
