21-year-old man charged with DUI and aggravated assault

A 21-year-old man from Philadelphia was recently arrested on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol and causing the injuries of a pedestrian.

The accident occured last week at 9:30 p.m. A 20-year-old woman was crossing the road, when the man, who was driving a 1999 Chevrolet Lumina, hit her. Officers who arrived on the scene reported that the man’s eyes were glassy and that they smelled alcohol on his breath.

In addition to being charged with a DUI, the man was also charged with the reckless endagerment of a pedestrian.
